Hours: Up to 15 hours per week, flexible schedule. Possible evening hours.
Compensation: Unpaid internship.

Description: Morven seeks a self-motivated individual to assist with upcoming major institutional projects and day-to-day operations related to digital media and communications.

Internship Duties: The Digital Media Intern will assist in the research and development phases of several major projects, including the launch of an upgraded website, the assembly and publication of institutional content on a major mobile app platform, and the building of a media archive. They would also support ongoing operations, including the planning and execution of virtual and hybrid programming.

This internship has wide reaching application. Students of digital media, communications, marketing, information technology, education, and museum studies are all encouraged to apply. This will be a hands-on experience that will utilize many skills needed for a variety of fields.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of web development and content management systems (e.g. Squarespace, Wordpress) a plus.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Enthusiastic, organized, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
