The celebration culminates with a Winter Soirée on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., set within the warmth of Morven’s historic mansion, beautifully adorned in holiday splendor. Guests will enjoy an elegant evening of live music, array of culinary delights, and festive décor throughout the museum.

Capture the beauty of Morven’s gardens and grounds in a one-day Plein-Air Painting Workshop with the Arts Council of Princeton and instructor, Debra Pisacreta. The rain date is October 15.

October 11 is the International Day of the Girl! What was it like as a girl growing up at Morven? Join us on October 9 for a special virtual event featuring Dr. Nazera Sadiq Wright, author of Black Girlhood in the Nineteenth Century, and the museum’s curatorial and research team.

Spend a fall morning at Morven exploring history and harvest in our museum and garden. Activities to include: scavenger hunts in the over 200 year old mansion, a fall-themed story time, leaf art making, harvesting in the garden, and more. Snacks and cider will be provided.

Take a tour of the museum’s newest exhibition, Morven Revealed: Untold Stories from New Jersey’s Most Historic Home. Led by one of Morven’s knowledgeable docents, this monthly tour will lead visitors through the unique stories that made this most historic of houses a home for centuries of inhabitants. 

Join author Becky Libourel Diamond for an engaging talk exploring her latest book, The Gilded Age Cookbook. Books will be available for purchase and signing with the author following the talk. This program is offered as part of the museum’s current exhibition, Morven Revealed: Untold Stories from New Jersey’s Most Historic Home. Attendees can visit the exhibition from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. as part of their program ticket.
