Accessibility

THE MUSEUM

Due to the historic nature of the building, the museum is only 80% wheelchair accessible. The museum entrance, located at the back of the building, is equipped with outdoor ramps for wheelchair access. Inside the museum, an elevator provides access to the restrooms as well as the parts of the second floor. Two of our five special exhibition galleries on the Museum’s second floor are not ADA accessible; these two galleries are only accessible via a five-step staircase.

Large print versions of exhibit texts are available on-site, upon request.

Morven does not have wheelchairs on site. Please email info@morven.org with specific questions regarding accessibility at Morven.

THE GARDEN

The gardens and surrounding grounds are wheelchair accessible, although there are no fully paved paths. There is a flagstone path surrounding the Colonial Revival Garden, as well as a gravel path leading to the Johnson Pool House.

PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

Morven’s Stockton Education Center, where many programs are held, is fully wheelchair accessible. For information regarding a specific program or event, refer to its program or event listing.
