Selections from the New Jersey State Museum

September 2004

During this exhibit, furniture and paintings made in New Jersey between 1700–1830 are on view at Morven while the State Museum is closed for renovation. Most noteworthy is the premier of a new acquisition of a rare 18th century clock by Peter Hill of Burlington, New Jersey, the only documented African-American clockmaker of the era.
